hanging with the young folk today; hannah's third birthday party this morning / deanne's 21st tonight! hawaiian themed, but don't think my outfit will extend past a lei and something floral... it's way too cold for a grass skirt, anyways!
max is reallllly missing aaron today, it's really awful to watch. lots of tears. we tried aaron earlier, in the hope that max's spirits would lift... but as aaron can't have his phone on when working, he didn't answer. i sent him a text, asking for him to ring / telling him that max is down. he phoned as soon as he could, and shared a good chat with maxi. five sleeps to go... we are all counting.
cleo is officially a climber! she was on top of her activity centre a short time ago, on the top of the cubby's slide an hour ago, and on the thin edge of the swing's back a bit before that... got to watch this one, constantly!

shhhhhh....
i keep waiting for the wedding come-down to hit, but nope, nothing... just elation that wedding planning is o.v.e.r! i know that sounds reallllllllly bad, so will presume you all know what i mean?
aaron returned to site this morning :( the taxi collected him at 445am. i am clearly a bad wife for not (a) preparing a cooked breakfast prior to his departure, and (b) not driving him to the airport myself. ha! good one!
aaron was under STRICT instructions to NOT kiss cleo goodbye this time... she interprets daddy's goodbye kiss as 'start of the day'... not good! so not good!
max's first words of the day: i miss daddy.

max and i discovered a ridiculous number of baby cockroaches in his bathroom tonight - so gross. i sprayed insect repellant for africa, then read up in my 'shannon lush' guide that cockroaches hate salt and light. cool! sprinkled salt around drain and plug holes, opened the cupboard doors, will keep the light on overnight. baby cockroaches are the enemy!
we said goodbye to kim, oktay, samuel, luke and elif today :( so sad, and so very surreal... today saw us share a farewell playdate at kings park, then they're off to paris, via KL. okay, so i'm sad, but also very envious!
is it bad that i've tucked into my turkish delight easter egg already? shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....
