Part two: Melbourne trip

At Melbourne Zoo.

Post-Zoo lunch with extended family... the cafe we ate at must've been delighted to see our group!

Myer's Christmas Train was a nice surprise for Max.

7th floor of Myer... how apt.

At the front of our B&B, heading out to Circa @ The Prince to celebrate mum and dad's 40th wedding anniversary.  Our meals were amazing... Aaron tried snails, I had rabbit, and we all ate dessert - YUM!

Cleo developed quite a thing for these shoes, and insisted on trying them on in the change rooms.  I am still not sure how we managed to leave QBF without buying them!

(part 1) trip to melbourne, november 2011, for carly and connor's wedding!

Early morning flight = weary traveller

Sign silliness: my brother Lee and I.

Sign silliness, Mark II

One of the many interesting sights along Victoria St.  We also observed a butcher's store which sold only mangos!

Aaron was feeling brave, ordering jellyfish with duck.  Strangely, the dish was served cold.  Ick.  Jellyfish tastes like.... chicken.  Gritty chicken.

Sign silliness, Mark III

Carly and Connor's big day... with the clutch still undecided.

Amazing view from The Olsen... and note the rain sheeting down.

So cute!

Resorted to taking a photo of myself through the mirror... it's always ALL about the bride, hmph!

Post-ceremony... and relaxed, happy smiles all round!

Fabulously quirky ukelele band.  Apparently they're a troupe of 40 who splinter off into smaller groups for gigs.

Max was delighted to hold onto Molly's leash for a bit.

Awesome surprise, an ice-cream van! Max was SHOCKED that adults might enjoy soft serve cones... I was shocked to think that he might think Carly would've organised it for the three kids only!
Honestly - lemonade and ice-cream with sprinkles - does it get any better than this?

Cleo blurred the lines as to whom was the entertainment.

The Mountain Goat Brewery was decorated with simple glass jars with tea lights - so effective!  Carly and Connor will be pleased if a jar needing its label removed never crosses their path again...

Cleo and Aaron, two peas in a pod.

Cleo trying to decipher mum's joke.

Beautiful photo of mum and dad.
Party girl... bedtime was 9pm on the night of the wedding!
Connor is the only guy I know who could pull off this look successfully!
